Redeemed Organized Dust

# 654 Today's Du-votional comes from: Mr 13:1,2 “Then as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, "Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!" And Jesus answered and said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down."

The headline read, “ Crystal Cathedral Sells Property For 46 M in Bankruptcy Exit Plan.” This beautiful edifice built under the “Hour of Power” ministry of Robert Schuller has in essence gone the way of the temple in Jerusalem. And while we may shake our heads and say, “what a pity,” the truth is your magnificent church building or not so magnificent church building is headed for the same destination.

Bottom line is that all church buildings are nothing but organized dust, come to think of it, that's all we are as well. But as baptized believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we are redeemed organized dust. The church is not about buildings, it's about redeemed people redeeming their time for the sake of the kingdom.

Your church building will not be left standing when all is said and done, but what You do in the name of Jesus can never be overturned. CT Studd once wrote, Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.

Father let me never forget that I am nothing but “organized dust,” that is so loved by You, that You sent Your only Son to purchase me at great price, I thank You and praise You for such unmerited love.
