Panic Attacks

# 384 - Today's Living Word comes from Mr 5:33,34. “But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction."

It's not that this woman was afraid of Jesus and what He might do to her. Somehow she knew that she was going to have to tell her story in front of all these people. How many of us have physically trembled as we have perhaps been called upon to share our own story of deliverance by Jesus.

There are four words I want to key in on here. “Fear and trembling, truth, and peace.”

It is my conviction that fear and trembling are very prevalent among Christians today. I have personally experienced fear and trembling in the form of panic attacks recently. But lo and behold, as I have shared my experiences with others I have found many many more Christians who are experiencing or have experienced the same thing!

Stop holding these experiences in. Find someone and “tell them the truth.” Tell them about your fears. It's what Jesus led the woman to do. He is leading you to do the same. You are not alone! As the woman came forth and told the truth Jesus told her to depart in what the victim of a panic attack is looking for. He told her to go in peace.

I'm Duane Matz and that's Today's Living Word.
