I Am With You Always

# 376- Today's Living Word comes from Mr 5:18 -20 “And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, "Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you." And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled.”

Can you blame the man who had been delivered from such a tormented life? Wouldn't you want to remain with the person who gave you such peace? There may have been even a little fear involved here. How would this man resist the demons if they should come back to him?

Though Jesus didn't say it, the man must've understood that Jesus would be with him and he need not fear. When Jesus gave His disciples the great commission to “go” with the Good News, His last words were, “ Behold, I am with you always,” (Mt 28:20) I think this man understood this spiritual principle.

The Lord will be with you as you engage in the Father's business. Don't get so caught up and concerned about the things of this world. Don't even worry about the results of your evangelizing. Simply tell others your story of God's merciful deliverance in your life and let the Lord take care of the outcome.

And remember, as long as you remain in the hand of God, you are safe. Joh 10:29 "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand.
