Worn and Old?

# 331 - Today's Living Word comes from Mr 4:15 "And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.

The devices of Satan are many as he “immediately” seeks to remove the Word of God from our minds. Please remember that this Word is not just the saving power of the Gospel, but it is all that is contained in God's Word. Many times Satan will use well meaning people to pluck away the seeds of God's truth.

In 2009, President Obama was speaking to a group of pro-homosexual activists and he said that there were people in the United States who, “still hold fast to worn arguments and old attitudes.” He of course was referring to those who hold to God's teaching that homosexuality is an abomination. In effect, he was saying that God's Word is worn and old.

What do you do with things that are worn and old? You toss them out, you disregard them. This is one of the most employed weapons in Satan's arsenal as he seeks to discredit the veracity of God's Word.

Entire denominations have been swallowed up in this lie. Remember, Jesus is both sower and seed in this parable and to discredit any of the seed is to discredit the Sower. Lord have mercy on those who regard your Word as worn and old.
