# 330 - Today's Living Word comes from Mr 4:15 "And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.”
Remember the key to understanding parables is to look for Jesus and His kingdom in them. Jesus is the Word, He is the Seed, and so this parable is about what people do when presented with Jesus.
What happens, when the Word of God comes in contact with the human heart? The first thing that we notice is that Satan “comes immediately!” If Satan were a naval vessel, general quarters would be sounded! “All hands on deck!” Something has happened! Someone has brought the Gospel to the ears of an unsaved person! The Word of God has pressed against Satan's defenses and is seeking to redeem a soul!
This is very serious business for Satan, and he IMMEDIATELY seeks to turn back the intrusion. This is vital information for you and I. Know that the one who is a liar will do all he can to keep you in his grasp. He will do all he can to come against the new believer.
Until this WORD came along, the devil could be at ease, there were no threats, but now the alarm has been sounded. Fasten your seat belt my friend and hold on! Don't let go of your new found faith! Ask God to keep you during the onslaught and let THIS truth help you during your battles: “He that is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 Jn 4:4)
