# 456 - Today's Living Word comes from Mr 7:21 "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

Next on the list of “evil things” is fornication. Fornication is defined as any and all illicit sexual activity before marriage. Years ago we called it “living in sin.” or “shacking up.” And once again we find a sin that has become a tremendous stronghold of the devil in the church.

There is tremendous pressure from the devil and the world to commit this sin and our flesh is all too willing to cooperate. Young people do it because they see its acceptance and promotion in all forms of the media. As far as they can tell, “everyone indeed does it!” “Didn't mom and dad do it after their divorce?”
Even seniors citizens are engaging in this practice because of its financial advantages in the tax structure.

Our own generation, perhaps reflecting on the sins of our youth, refuse to speak out against this sin. The church often remains silent for fear of stepping on some people's toes and losing members and finances.

Meanwhile precious souls are headed for eternal destruction, all for the sake of “being in a relationship.” (Today's code word for the sin of fornication.) Stop it!

Hear the Word of God on this matter! The Bible tells us in 1 Cor 6:9 that fornicators are among those who will not inherit the kingdom of God, and then goes on to say in v 11, “Such WERE some of you.” In other words believers can and MUST become ex-fornicators.

“But I believe in God, isn't that enough?” Beloved, belief involves more than an intellectual assent that there is a God. Listen to what Jesus said in Lu 6:46 "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?

Turn to Jesus and be set free from this sin, and all other damnable sins.Damnable simply because they are proof that you really haven't submitted to the lordship of Christ.
