His Word Will Never Fail

# 730 Today's Du-votional comes from: Mr 15:1 Immediately, in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council; and they bound Jesus, led Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate.

The hurried proceedings of the night before, continue with a new sense of urgency in the morning. The rulers seem to be acting out of a sense of expediency, lest there be a riot, but let us not forget who is really in charge of the timing of this event. God's Lamb would die at the hour He chooses.

Joh 10:18 says, "No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father."

Make no mistake about it, these rulers are being pushed along by the Ruler of the Universe, who had prophesied this very event in Mr 10:33 "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles;

Betrayed by Judas, turned over to the rulers, who in turn would turn Him over to the Gentiles. (Pilate). May these prophecies strengthen our trust in the infallible Word of God.

May they come to mind if we should ever doubt the sovereignty of God. He is perfectly faithful, and all powerful.........and so is His Word. He will never fail, and neither will His Word. Trust it! Believe it! Stake your eternal well-being on it!

Father, there is none like You, and nothing as faithful and trustworthy as Your Word.
