Isa 26:21 For behold, the LORD comes out of His
place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; The earth will
also disclose her blood, And will no more cover her slain. 27:1 In that day the
LORD with His severe sword, great and strong, Will punish Leviathan the fleeing
serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is
in the sea.
Isaiah is of course talking about the Last Day. The
Day that Christ will crack the sky and return victorious. It is payback time
for all those who have rejected Christ as their Lord and Savior. The devil,
(that lying twisted murderer of innocents, portrayed here as Leviathan) will be
repaid for all the blood he has shed, and all the lies he has told. There will be no escaping the final wrath of
God by the fleeing, truth twisting, murderous, serpent. He is doomed forever, cast into the lake of
fire! Re 20:10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire
and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be
tormented day and night forever and ever.
Take heart from this truth beloved! Yes, it’s a battle
now, the devil knows he has a short time and is furious! But in the end, those
who persevere in the faith are victorious! Re 12:12 says, “Woe to the
inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you,
having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time." But
Jesus reminds us in Mt 24:13 "But he who endures to the end shall be
saved.
Note too that the shorter his time the more twisted his
doctrine, the more murderous his actions. It is just as the Apostle Paul warned
Timothy: 1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some
will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of
demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy,
having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,
Lies and a seared conscience, and here’s a quick
example for you: Over 60 million unborn children murdered through legalized
abortion in the United States alone and few people, even professing Christians are
batting an eyelash! How’s that for a seared conscience?
The end is nearer today than it was yesterday. Are you
ready? Are you with Jesus or not? There is no neutral ground here. Jesus put it
this way: Mt 12:30 "He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who
does not gather with Me scatters abroad. 31 "Therefore I say to you, every
sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit
will not be forgiven men.
In simple terms to resist the Holy Spirit’s call to
salvation through Jesus Christ is the unforgiveable sin! It’s the sin of
unbelief and puts the offender wailing and gnashing his teeth as he treads
water next to the Leviathan in the eternal lake of fire.
