Ps 12:5 says, “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, I will arise says the Lord.
“Sighing,” is a Hebrew expression for a trilling, barking, sound of distress. It is like the shrieking noise of a gecko....louder than a cricket. God hears the cry of the needy and it rouses Him like the incessant chirping of crickets or a barking dog might rouse you and I. Here’s the thing; God wants us to get up and do something about it. So the next time you hear a barking dog, or a shrieking gecko, or a chirping cricket, consider a way you might help someone less fortunate than you.
