Trust Jesus Alone For Salvation

# 29 – Today's Du-votional comes from 1Sa 2:10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. "He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed." Hannah's Spirit led prayer finishes with a prophetic glimpse of the final victory over the enemies of God through Jesus Christ. Her own battle with Penninah over producing offspring serving as a foreshadowing of the battle to win souls for Christ. At first glance it appears that Penninah is winning, but in the end it is Hannah's offspring that are left standing. Jesus said in Mt 7:14 "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” The “way” through the narrow gate is faith in Jesus Christ who said, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through Me. (Jn 14:6) He is the King that Hannah mentions in her prayer, He is the “anointed” who is exalted above all others. The victory over Penninah, the victory over the adversary of mankind is only won through the power of God's anointed.....Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Ac 4:12 says, "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." This prayer of Hannah's serves as an exhortation, to put our faith in Jesus Christ alone for our salvation. Anyone without Christ, in the end will be crushed. Re 2:27 'He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels' Father, thank You for the victory we have in Jesus. Help us to persevere until You call us home or until our conquering King returns.
