# 312 - Today we read from Mr 3:19-21 And they went into a house. 20 Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21 But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, "He is out of His mind." (Mk 3:19-21)
Jesus comes down from the mountain with His newly appointed 12 Apostles and went to a home in Capernaum. The people were so hungry for a touch from Him that they crowded around Him and His disciples to the extent that they couldn't even get a bite to eat.
Well, the word got back to His family, including His mother, and this was the last straw for them. It was one thing to leave the carpentry business, and to wander around the countryside without the comforts of this world, but now it was becoming a health concern for the family. (Moms are always concerned when their children aren't eating right.)
His unbelieving family members thought that Jesus had “lost His mind.” They desired strongly to pull Him away from this demanding lifestyle to and restore what they considered His failing mental health.
As a new believer, perhaps you can identify with Jesus. Your priorities have changed and those close to you think you are nuts to redirect your life. You are in good company beloved. Stay the course.
